Starting a business in Germany — without a German passport
Share
A misconception I keep encountering:
“I can’t start a business in Germany — I’m not German.”
That’s not how it works.
Starting a business in Germany does not require a German passport.
→ EU citizens can found here — without additional authorization.
→ Non-EU citizens can found if residence and work permits allow it.
→ Many funding programs — including AVGS — do NOT depend on nationality, but on your registration and status in Germany.
→ A German degree is NOT a requirement. Market experience and a viable concept are what count.
If you’re a migrant, expat, or international professional who has founded in Germany — or wants to — you’re explicitly welcome in the consultation.
That’s exactly what it’s for: first orient, then decide.
